Better for you and better for the planet? Meet the PC® Raspberry Chia Spread, an innovative new fruit spread that's jam-packed with upcycled raspberries and chia seeds for added fibre. Our great-tasting recipe is lower in sugar than traditional jams or spreads and – unlike other low-sugar spreads – it's made without sugar alcohols. Our product starts with upcycled raspberries – this fruit would typically go to waste because it's either misshapen, bruised, or too small to be sold as-is. It might not be pretty, but it's perfectly good to eat, so we give it new life as a sweet spread. We went big on berry flavour, too – while typical jams are made up of 40% to 50% fruit, our PC® Raspberry Chia Spread is made with a whopping 70% raspberries! Next, we add chia seeds. These nutritious little powerhouses help thicken the jam without adding as much sugar as traditional jams or spreads, plus they're a source of fibre and omega-3 fatty acids. The result: A fruit-forward sweet-tart spread that's 50% lower in sugar than our regular PC® Raspberry Jam with the added fibre benefits of chia seeds and made without artificial colours or flavours.
